This was the starting point of our magical trip, embarking from Dublin.
We attended a beautiful family wedding celebration in Dublin, meeting up with wonderful friends and family.

Reservoir Dogs!

In every family there is a dynamic that while engaging is ultimately constructive in its efficacy and destructive in its elegance, such is the bond between two old farts that lived for what seemed like a lifetime under one roof and then for what has been another lifetime under different roofs so it is and always will be.
First landing spot from Dublin. Bologna is famous for its gorgeous covered porticos, rich food heritage, and historic towers. We enjoyed exploring the cobblestone streets.

Midday leg of Day 1. Lucca is an absolute gem surrounded by intact Renaissance city walls that you can walk or cycle on.

Our evening and night stay in Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. The Duomo, the bridges, and the statues took our breath away under the warm evening lights.

Morning stop on Day 2 to see the famous Leaning Tower and the Field of Miracles.

The gateway port town to the Cinque Terre.

Our afternoon along the five famous cliffside villages of the Cinque Terre. Stunning coastal views, coloured houses, and sea breeze.

The final Italian town before crossing the border into France.

We crossed into the French Riviera and stopped at Menton, known for its warm microclimate, lemons, and pastel-shaded buildings.

Our final destination in France before returning home. What an incredible journey!
